Spiral Dance Showcase The Spiral Dance showcase is an opportunity to present the variety of dance that is happening across the Rochdale Borough in community, education and private dance school settings. The showcase aims to include all ages, and explore the possibilities of who can dance, what dance is and why people dance. Over the years we have gathered evidence that shows that dance and movement is happening for a number of reasons- physical fitness, socialising, feeling better, exploring ideas/emotions/cultures/ feelings, raising aspirations, performance, celebration and sharing and the Spiral dance showcase aims to highlight some of these. Inside Out INSIDE OUT, a dance extravaganza with a difference. Inside Out is an annual event co-ordinated by Spiral Dance, it is a festival about dance in unusual places. Each year it involves training for dance teachers in schools, choreography and performance. For details about Inside Out 2010 please contact the Spiral Dance office. Celebration Events As part of our Older Peoples Dance programme we co-ordinate a number of Celebration Events across the Borough. The events bring people together to share in dance and creative activity. Past events have included Ballroom Dance, Poetry, Flamenco, Visual Arts, Folk Music and Circle Dances.
